Then, our ninetieth Florida Man Tribute in forty-three weeks. An Albanian drug kingpin, a Grosse Pointe businessman, and a cocaine submarine. This one happened back in April.
A cocaine submarine.
Animals. The sea urchin video has now led our countdown for forty-four consecutive hours. I have watched it twelve times.
I have watched it ten times and I still do not know what is happening.
And Sports. US rapper BigXthaPlug arrested on drug and gun charges hours before he was scheduled to perform at a country music festival.
That is Sports.
The World Desk is next. Stay with us.
THE WORLD DESK
Good afternoon. I'm Chip Marlowe.
And I'm Deb Sarkissian. We begin this hour with an update from China, where the robot that beat Usain Bolt's hundred-meter record now has a name.
They named the robot.
They did. The android competing at the World Humanoid Robot Games is called H-One, manufactured by smartphone maker Honor. It ran faster than Bolt's nine-point-five-eight-second world record during trials this weekend.
They still have not released the actual time.
They have not. Honor confirmed only that H-One beat the record. The official time has not been published.
So we know the robot is faster than Bolt, we just do not know by how much.
That is correct. The World Humanoid Robot Games wrapped Sunday in Hangzhou.
Which is in northern China.
Eastern China, about a hundred miles southwest of Shanghai.
I was close.
In England, the family who died after getting into difficulty in the water off Shoreham earlier this week has been identified. West Sussex police released the names this morning.
How many?
Three. A mother and her two children. The town held a vigil last night and more than two hundred people attended. Shoreham is a coastal town about sixty miles south of London.
West Sussex police are not speculating on cause.
They are not. The investigation is ongoing.
In the Netherlands, Lando Norris took pole position at the Dutch Grand Prix this morning in a scramble to complete laps before rain.
George Russell finished second. The rain came down just as the final session ended.
Which is in eastern Holland.
Western Netherlands, on the North Sea coast.
Still a coast.
It is. The race is this afternoon at nine Eastern.
And in football, Manchester United lost to newly promoted Hull City in what manager Michael Carrick is calling a difficult start to the season.
Hull won two to one at Old Trafford. It is their first win at Manchester United in seventeen years.
Carrick said after the match his side did not look ready.
He did. United have now lost two of their first three matches.

Still ahead this afternoon on KRAK 11 News, Criminal Intent. Three cases waiting for the bench and one of them involves a county official.
We are not naming the official until charges are filed, but we will tell you which office.
Criminal Intent in a few minutes, right here on KRAK 11.
CRIMINAL INTENT
Time now for the Blotter.
And we are once again celebrating the work of law enforcement agencies who are not in Wexler County.
Florida Man Tribute number ninety-five.
In forty-three weeks.
Back in April of this year, federal authorities in Detroit broke open a scheme involving an Albanian drug kingpin, a Grosse Pointe businessman, and a cocaine submarine.
A submarine.
A submersible vessel designed to carry narcotics beneath coastal radar. The kingpin was sentenced in federal court five months ago. Prosecutors alleged the operation spanned three continents.
Prosecutors alleged.
The Grosse Pointe connection remains under investigation, and federal authorities are reviewing additional charges.
Back in November of twenty-twenty-four, Hillsborough County deputies in Florida said a carnival worker pointed a green laser at one of their helicopters while it was in flight.
They said.
The suspect told deputies, quote, I was just being stupid. Deputies located him on the ground minutes later. The helicopter was not damaged.
In New York state, back in July of last year, more than sixty UFO sightings were reported to federal authorities in a single calendar year. A full list of towns was published this week.
Sixty confirmed sightings?
Sixty reported sightings. No federal agency has confirmed the nature of the objects.
And back in July of last year, a tech CEO and his human resources chief were caught on a Coldplay concert kiss cam, which went viral after the CEO had publicly praised her hiring in a company press release months earlier.
They scrambled to hide when they realized the camera was on them.
The company has not commented. Neither has Coldplay.
That brings KRAK Eleven's count of Florida Man Tributes to ninety-five in forty-three weeks.
Still ahead this afternoon on KRAK Eleven News - the sea urchin video has now led the animal countdown for forty-four consecutive hours. We will explain what is happening in it.
You will try.
I have watched it twelve times.
ANIMALS
Time for the Good News Desk.
This is the KRAK 11 animal countdown, three videos ranked by how many views they gained in the last three days.
We are now at forty-four consecutive hours.
At number three - Baby Deer Trapped On A Freezing Pond, posted by Sassy. Three million eighty-nine thousand new views. It has held third place for six straight days.
Six days is a long time in this business.
It is the rock of our countdown.
At number two - When Kindness Goes Both Ways, posted by Windypaws. Three million four hundred eight thousand new views. YouTube has it at number one on their own trending chart.
And at number one, for the forty-fourth consecutive hour - the sea urchin video. Posted by Nick DiGiovanni. Five million fifty-five thousand new views.
How many times have you watched it now?
Thirteen.
And do you know what is happening yet?
I do not.
All three of those are on the KRAK 11 News Reel, and the link is in the description.
Still ahead this afternoon - A Quick Look At Sports. The Brewers have now won thirty-five in a row, and we will tell you what happened in Milwaukee last night that has never happened before.
A QUICK LOOK AT SPORTS
A quick look at sports.
We have got a lot of winning streaks to talk about today.
You love a winning streak.
The Brewers make it thirty-six in a row, beating the Cardinals nine to three in Milwaukee. That is a new franchise record by a mile.
Pete Crow-Armstrong hits a walk-off single in the ninth for the Cubs. That is twenty-two consecutive games with a walk-off RBI. The White Sox lose again, four to three.
Tottenham beat Aston Villa two-nil at White Hart Lane. Roberto De Zerbi wins all seven of his first matches as manager.
And Magnus Carlsen defends his chess title at the Esports World Cup. The Norwegian beats Ian Nepomniachtchi in six games.
Seven wins without a loss.
Coming up at the top of the hour on KRAK 11 News - the county briefing on the road repairs, live. We will see you then.
