Trump envoy Kushner meets Netanyahu after Hamas talks on peace plan

Good evening, Fairmont. I'm Chip Marlowe.

And I'm Deb Sarkissian. This is KRAK 11 News, the top of the hour.

We begin this hour with THE WORLD DESK. Aid shortages and fears of starvation as Indonesia reels from a deadly earthquake that has left fifty-three dead and thousands displaced.

Coming up on CRIMINAL INTENT, the Department of Homeland Security defends tracking a New York man to his home, to the airport, and to a hotel to question him about a single email he sent to the former head of ICE.

One email.

Later this hour, HAPPY ANIMALS, and SPORTS, where British track sensation Amy Hunt wins an unprecedented four gold medals and asks the continent if they are not entertained.

All of that and more, this hour, on KRAK 11 News. THE WORLD DESK is next.

I've got it.

Got what.

The sign-off. Listen. 'That's the news, and that's the truth, and that's Chip Marlowe.'

No.

Why not.

Because you sound like a man selling tires.

ok, How about Thanks, thats news assholes!!

you are so dramatic.

If you could just help, that would be nice.

Sixty seconds.

Well.. thats news assholes!! We will go with that.

Good evening. I'm Chip Marlowe.

And I'm Deb Sarkissian.

Before we begin, I want to acknowledge that the globe behind us is now positioned at what I believe is the optimal tilt for North American viewers.

There is no globe behind us.

The graphic globe. When we throw to the map. I adjusted the default angle so the Western Hemisphere reads as forward-facing.

The plan calls for a phased withdrawal of Israeli forces and the establishment of humanitarian corridors throughout Gaza.

Netanyahu has not commented publicly on the proposal. The meeting comes as tensions in the broader Jerusalem diplomatic zone remain high.

Jerusalem.

The city is the center of Middle East diplomacy. Most peace negotiations either begin there or pass through the Jerusalem corridor on their way to implementation.

Doha is in Qatar.

Yes.

Qatar is not in the Jerusalem corridor.

It's part of the broader regional framework.

The brand launched in two thousand eighteen and now ships to seventy countries.

It's interesting that a British vodka became associated with the European summer lifestyle. Most vodka brands are rooted in Eastern Europe, where the climate is colder and the tradition goes back centuries.

Au is made in Manchester.

Which is in the UK's northern manufacturing belt.

It rains two hundred days a year in Manchester.

That doesn't impact the distillation process.

No one is drinking it in Manchester.

The sale is expected to close in the second quarter. BuzzBallz founder Merrilee Kick says the acquisition will expand her company's international footprint.

BuzzBallz are sold in plastic spheres at gas stations.

Different market segment.

Very different.

Gray is one of the most senior officials in the UK government. Any communication between her office and the White House would typically involve classified or sensitive policy discussions.

British security officials are reviewing protocols for verifying high-level communications.

Still ahead on KRAK 11 News, a Wexler County man is facing charges after what deputies are calling the most preventable crime of the month.

That's Criminal Intent, in a few minutes.

Do you believe in prayer.

What.

Prayer. Manifestation. The power of positive thinking.

What did you do.

I sent an email.

To who.

The station owner.

What did it say.

It was meant for you.

Oh god.

Ya, it was late, I was drunk, what can I say.

Time now for the Krak 11 Blotter.

Gordo, the gavel graphic. Did that read as authoritative when we used it in the last hour.

It read as a gavel.

I'm asking if the angle conveyed judicial authority or if it looked decorative.

It's been the same gavel for six years, Chip.

The suspect allegedly presented himself at a Fairmont dealership claiming to be the owner and showed staff a business card he had found in the motorcycle's storage compartment.

The card had the actual owner's name and phone number printed on it.

Staff called the number to verify.

That is a level of preparation that almost worked, Deb. He had documentation. He presented it confidently. He was standing in front of the vehicle in question.

He was arrested in the parking lot.

Department of Homeland Security officials acknowledged that ICE special agents monitored the individual across multiple locations in January.

The agency says it issued warning notices to critics as part of what it describes as a protective intelligence operation.

One email.

Three locations.

Panettiere began her career in commercials at eleven months old and was best known for playing country music star Juliette Barnes in the series Nashville.

No cause of death has been released. She was thirty-six.

Still ahead on Krak 11 News, the animals that are making us smile tonight, including a therapy dog in Minnesota who has learned to ring a bell when residents need help.

That's Happy Animals, coming up next.

You're watching Krak 11.

I'm just saying, you have a wonderful smile.

Marguerite, I'm reporting a carjacking.

And you do it so well, but you look so serious.

Three people were held at gunpoint.

But they're fine now, aren't they.

Deb. Help me.

She's right. You do have a wonderful smile.

I'm hanging up.

Don't hang up, we were just getting started.

Time now for Happy Animals.

Deb, I have moved the flowers.

You moved the flowers.

The vase was blocking the left third of the desk. Networks keep the foreground clear. I have relocated them to where they read as intentional.

That is—

That is a beautiful animal doing beautiful work.

She is.

Staff say Wallace has never missed a shift and prefers the company of residents over staff members.

Wallace knows where the work is.

Forty-seven fish.

Twelve years.

Still ahead, we are minutes away from sports.

And a college football weekend that started with chaos and ended with more chaos. That is next.

Take that off.

It's called distinguished.

It's called a sweater vest.

George Will wears a sweater vest.

George Will is eighty-three years old.

Exactly. Timeless.

You look like you teach at a community college.

I could teach at a community college.

Chip, you look like you're about to explain why I got a C-minus.

Well maybe if you'd turned in your assignments on time, Deb.

Time now for the KRAK 11 Scoreboard.

Deb, is the scoreboard graphic centered on my initial or yours.

Neither.

It has to be one. There are two names on that board and Gordo adjusted it last week and I would like to know which initial is reading as primary because that is a visual hierarchy question.

It's centered on the station logo.

Dominance at the European level, and when you dominate Europe, you are positioning yourself globally. That is where networks look first.

Europe is global.

Regionally global.

Globally global.

Hunt's time in the hundred meters was ten point nine seven seconds, which is extraordinarily fast for a human being to cover that distance under any conditions.

Central is now three and oh. Undefeated through the first three weeks, and their quarterback has the arm strength to stretch the field vertically, which opens up the run game underneath.

You ran track in high school for six weeks.

I ran track in high school for six weeks because I transferred to a school that did not have a program, Deb, that is documented in my transfer paperwork —

You asked me what par meant last month.

I asked what par meant in the context of a links course, which is a different ball flight entirely, Deb, different wind conditions, different turf firmness —

You asked what par meant.

Contextually.

Yankees-Red Sox carries weight in every market, not just the Northeast. That matchup speaks to the history of the game itself and networks schedule around it because viewership holds across demographics.

Networks schedule around it because people watch it.

Which is what I said.

You said demographics.

Coming up on the next KRAK 11 News at the top of the hour, we will have the sheriff's briefing on the structure fire in Wexler that left three dead. That briefing is scheduled for ten o'clock and we will carry it live.

The cause of the fire has not been determined and the names of the victims have not been released pending notification of family.

We will bring you that briefing in full when it happens.

That is the KRAK 11 Scoreboard.

We will see you at the top of the hour.

Son of a bitch.

What is it now.

He's mad about all the bad reviews about the station.

Why would anyone leave a bad review.

It's because of the posts I made on TikTok.

What's Tac Tac.

It's an app for kids. But some adults get on there and make fools of themselves.

I see. So Gordo is a social media influencer now.
